How do I get the patch for Fallout: New Vegas on my xbox 360?

I know I'm supposed to be automatically prompted when I start the game but it never happens. Both my brother and I use this xbox and neither of us has been prompted to download the patch, despite the fact that the internet connection is without a doubt completely functional. We definitely didn't get it without realizing it because the things the patch is supposed to fix are not fixed. for example, there are no waymarkers on my companions, which is the exact reason I want the patch (ED-E has disappeared...)How do I get the patch for Fallout: New Vegas on my xbox 360?
I have PS3 so I dunno, but for the companion glitch, try going to Vault 22 and using the elevator. I dunno if its been confirmed for 360, but for PS3 its been found that when you use the elevator there is some kind of prompt for your companions. Many people have used this to get their companions back, as when you use the elevator they reappear with you if they are lost. So i dunno, maybe try that in the meantime, hope it works. Also Ed-E will go back to Primm when you have him upgraded, so if you did that quest already, check back there.How do I get the patch for Fallout: New Vegas on my xbox 360?
