I have fallout 3 for pc on my computer. as soon as i installed it, loaded it and went to start a game, it tells me that theres and error and my computer completely freezes. is there a patch or a fix that i can get for this?Is there a fix for Fallout 3 on PC or even a patch?
Yes, F3 has patch 1.7. Get it. I provided the source below, but.....
In order to really answer this, you need your processor, ram, OS version, and video card type with amount of ram. Crashing can be related to a number of things completely unrelated to F3.
FFdshow caused a major problem with running F3 for me. I had to play around with the sound settings in it for a while for the crashes to stop, and also to hear the radio properly. An old Nvidia driver was causing problems for some, and yet others found out that their illegal copy was filled with little bugs that caused crashes. Way to go, Bethesda.
Updating the drivers will help many issues, not just updating the game itself, but your video driver, sound driver, and that damn ffdshow thing for folks that just have to do it.
Good luckIs there a fix for Fallout 3 on PC or even a patch?
It may be a bug of F3. If you can't fix it with the patch, you can ask for help from F3 supplier. Computer freeze can be caused by many problems. I agree with Silentch. I think RegistryMum can help you. It can clean and defrag the registry. It may be helpful.
